The training and game is known for a 5-a-side version of soccer originally from South America. FDS is played with a smaller (size 2), and slightly heavier (465gm) ball that has very little bounce to it.
The PIASLC has also confirmed an partnership with the US-based IronKids programme. This relationship will support four junior Triathlon events every year as well as training camps for children aged between 6 and 15.
The PIASLC has assigned former professional tennis player David Roberts as Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations at the large Phuket, Thailand sports centre. David offers experience in both operations and pre-openings. He has run elite private sports clubs while with Centara Hotels and Resorts Group.
