Phuket International Academy PIASLC Invites Brazilian Soccer Schools for a Friendly
Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) can be found in Phuket, Thailand, at the Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC). The highly regarded youth soccer training programme is available at the finest sports and recreation facility in Southeast Asia.
Successful BSS uses Futebol de Salao (FDS). The training and game is characterized as a 5-a-side version of football with origins in South America. Futebol de Salao is played with a smaller (size 2), and slightly heavier (465gm) ball that has very little bounce to it. The sport of Futebol de Salão became popular in Brazil where famous players such as Pele, Rivelino, Zico and right through to Juninho, Ronaldo, and Rivaldo were brought up first playing FDS before moving onto mainstream football. They have all attested to the fact that Futebol de Salão developed futbol skills. The International Confederation of Futebol de Salao (ICFDS), established Brazilian Football Academies and Soccer Schools in the UK, and now oversee the game across the world, and have opened professionally managed centre’s in many countries.
The PIASLC Brazilian Soccer Camps are a skills-based training system that is hosted all year long with emphasis upon school breaks. The training camps consist of daily training with the innovative FDS moves to beat players also incorporating turns, passing, juggling and core skills. The Brazilian Soccer Schools system is planned out for boys and girls aged between the ages of 5-18 with a structured syllabus and training system specific to each age group and each ability level within the different ages. Training is skill centered, task focused and has complete engagement.
A 5 a side game is a great way for children to learn soccer as it gives more touches of the ball, more shooting opportunities, more passes, more chances to take an opponent on 1 on 1. This encourages children to think faster and move the ball quicker due to having less time on the ball. All coaches at the soccer camp are highly qualified, passionate and experienced, who put the safety of children as the number one priority.
